Having qualified at Goodman Jones Chartered accountants where I mainly looked after growing media, property and construction clients, I joined Lehman Brothers in their financial control area to explore the world of finance in Investment banking. Moving eventually to UBS (a Swiss bank), I worked around the world as we built out businesses in different markets putting in controls to remediate risks and ensuring integrity of the financial statements and appropriate tax treatments across borders.
In 2013 we moved to Switzerland where I was CFO and Financial Controller for the Swiss Investment Bank. As business partner and Controller, focus was on supporting the strategy of the bank as we set up new company structures and reduced costs through outsourcing, offshoring and robotics to managed the changing regulatory environment.
The UK however was calling me home and after several enjoyable years we (my wife and I and my two children) moved back in 2016 to settle down and provide a life in London for our children to grow up in. Creating a accountancy firm that really supported businesses had been my vision for many years and I was now able to realize my dream. GQC LTD is the result of this. A firm that offers consulting, accountancy, tax and advisors services for entrepreneurs taking them from A (Accountancy) to C (consultancy) in a seamless journey.
